When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

This doll has been gathering dust for months, half done as I simply hit a mental wall and couldn't get anything about it right. The hair was flat and brassy, the pixeling was simply awful. Totally discouraging after such a great start on it. After some experimenting I realized that the color yellow I was using for his hair was not a good one as it tended to turn green when shading. Ewwww. Changed that. and now it's better.
Overall, the doll is still not great, but heck.. Better to simply move on and perhaps later I can revisit this one and get it right.  For now, at least it's off my conscience!The doll is Nigh Iolantir, divine champion character of ~alexander3, serving Hanali Celanil. He's an elf from the future, hailing from Maztica, that was caught in a magical wild surge and ended up centuries back in time. He now travels Faerun with a party of close companions, including my charries Anwyn Amaethon and Sephranaena Waelan. He looks vundervul! The shading is very nice, esp. on the hair which is always hard. Great choice of colors, blue/silver is my fav combo ever!
